In one of the more remarkable performances in Division III this past year, Tufts' Stefan Duvivier launched himself 7'2.5" (2.20m) over the high jump bar to win the event at the NCAA Indoor Championship in March. The mark tied for the fourth-best in NCAA Division III history. Duvivier then cleared 7'0.5" (2.15m) to finish as the NCAA Outdoor Championship Runner-Up.
The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native graduated with a biology and community health degree in May and is continuing in athletics professionally. He is currently living in New York City and becoming certified as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He will also be serving as a volunteer jumps coach at Columbia University.
Also a three-year member of the basketball team at Tufts, he’s not quite finished competing either. He is attempting to receive funding from Canada, where he holds citizenship, and competed at the Canadian Nationals in early July.
