Meet Kevin Hopsicker - Middlebury Football

Kevin Hopsicker, a native of Delmar, New York, is a 2018 graduate of Middlebury College and a former member of the Panther football team.
One of the team's top tacklers over his career, the 2017 captain had 42 stops during his final season in the Panther uniform. He also intercepted a pass for a touchdown and had a season-best eight tackles during Middlebury's win at Amherst, garnering him NESCAC Player of the Week accolades. Hopsicker had five pass break-ups and at least two tackles in each game in 2017. He ended his career with 140 tackles, seven interceptions and 13 pass break-ups. On the field, the defensive back helped lead the Panthers to a 7-2 season and a runner-up finish in the NESCAC in 2017.
Hopsicker, a two-time CoSIDA All-District selection and three-time NESCAC All-Academic honoree, graduated with a 3.83 grade point average as an economics major. He was also named a Vermont Collegiate Scholar-Athlete Hall of Fame inductee.
The three-year starter was selected as one of the recipients of Middlebury’s Hazeltine-Klevenow Memorial Trophy, which is given out to a Panther senior who best combines ability in athletics and excellence in scholarship.
