Williams Sweeps Inaugural NESCAC Women's Tennis Championship

AMHERST, Mass. - Williams College rolled to its first-ever conference championship by winning final round matches in each of four singles and three doubles flights at the inaugural New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Tournament on Sunday, hosted by Amherst College. The Ephs lapped the 10-team field with 43 points, with top-ranked Amherst finishing second with 29 points.

Williams' junior Selma Kickic (Dallas, TX) rolled to the "A" singles title with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Amherst's Stephanie Fong in the championship round, after downing defending NCAA Champion Jamie Cohen (Rye, NY) of Amherst 6-1, 6-3 in the semifinals. Kickic also teamed with fellow Eph Tracy Cheung (Los Altos, CA) to take the "A" doubles final, 8-4, over the Amherst pairing of Cohen and Roopali Agarwal (Boxford, MA).
