Sandy
Shepherd, Amherst (Junior, Defender - Coronado, Calif.) Shepherd helped her team win the 2011 NESCAC title, the Jeffs’ third conference crown and first since 2003. Shepherd notched her first point of the season in Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Wesleyan, collecting an assist on the game’s first goal in the 49th minute. Sunday afternoon, Shepherd headed home the championship-winning goal - her first collegiate tally - in 86th minute, breaking a 1-1 tie with Williams. She was also part of a defense that allowed only four shots on net and one goal. |

Doyle, Wesleyan (Sophomore, Forward - North Haven, Conn.) Doyle had two goals, an assist, and converted a penalty kick during the shootout round against Tufts in the quarterfinals of the 2011 NESCAC Women’s Soccer Championship, as the Cardinals advanced past the Jumbos and into the conference semifinals for the first time ever. Tuesday afternoon against Trinity, Doyle scored twice in the final 10 minutes to lift Wesleyan to a 2-1, come-from-behind win. She assisted on the Cardinals’ only goal in the 1-1 draw at Tufts on Saturday. |

Gould, Bowdoin (Senior, Forward - East Sandwich, Mass.) Gould scored twice, including the game-winner in overtime, to lift Bowdoin to a 3-2, come-from-behind win at Trinity on Saturday and keep the Polar Bears in the hunt for a postseason berth. After scoring Bowdoin’s first goal in the 61st minute, she scored 5:07 into the extra session for her third game-winner of the year. |

Gergenti, Hamilton (Sophomore, Goalkeeper - Warwick, N.Y.) Gergenti earned her fifth shutout of the season and ninth of her collegiate career with eight saves, her second-highest total in 2011, in a scoreless draw with Tufts on Saturday. After making five saves through regulation, Gergenti stopped three shots over two overtime periods to preserve the shutout. |

Gould, Bowdoin (Senior, Forward - East Sandwich, Mass.) Gould became Bowdoin’s all-time leading point scorer (95) with three goals and two assists during a 2-1-0 week for the Polar Bears. She opened the week with the game-tying goal in a 3-2, come-from-behind win over the Univ. of New England on Tuesday before netting the game-winner in a 2-0 decision against Hamilton on Saturday. Gould closed the week with the Polar Bears’ lone goal in a 2-1, double-overtime setback to undefeated Amherst on Sunday. |

McKenzie, Amherst (Sophomore, Forward - Upper Marlboro, Md.) McKenzie tallied the first two goals of Saturday’s 3-0 victory at rival Williams, the lone game of the week for the Lord Jeffs. She opened the scoring in the 10th minute and followed with her second goal of the match in the 24th minute to give her squad an early 2-0 advantage. The win moved Amherst to 8-0-0 on the year, the best start in program history. |

Kirk, Middlebury (Soph., Forward - San Francisco, Calif.) Kirk continued her torrid scoring pace with five goals in a 3-0-0 week for the Panthers, bringing her to 11 so far this fall. She opened the week with a pair of tallies in Tuesday’s 5-1 win at Keene St., then followed with two more goals, including the overtime game-winner, in Saturday’s 2-1, come-from-behind win over Wesleyan. Kirk closed the week with Sunday’s decisive goal in a 2-1 victory over Connecticut College. |

Kurash, Wesleyan (Junior, Forward - Voorhees, N.J.) Kurash had a hand in four of the Cardinals’ five goals during a 1-1-0 week, scoring three and assisting on a fourth. On Saturday at Middlebury, Kurash spotted her team an early 1-0 lead in the 12th minute in what ended as a 2-1 double-overtime setback. Sunday afternoon, Kurash assisted on the game-tying goal in the 20th minute, then put the Cardinals ahead for good in the 73rd minute and added an insurance tally in the 84th in a 4-2 victory over Colby. |

Kirk, Middlebury (Sophomore, Forward - San Francisco, Calif.) Kirk scored three times during a 2-0-0 week for the Panthers. She had both Middlebury goals in a 2-0 win over Plattsburgh St. on Thursday. On Saturday afternoon at Bowdoin, Kirk opened the scoring with her team-leading sixth tally of the season in a 3-2 overtime victory. Through five games this fall, Kirk is one goal shy of matching the seven she led the Panthers with last season. |

Duffy, Amherst (Sophomore, Forward - Fairfield, Conn.) Duffy provided over half of the Lord Jeffs’ offensive firepower in a 3-0-0 week, including back-to-back 2-0 victories in NESCAC play over the weekend. She opened last week with four goals in a 7-0 decision at Mount Holyoke on Tuesday. Duffy tallied the game-winner in the 69th minute of Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Bates, and had an insurance goal in the 31st minute of Sunday’s 2-0 win against Middlebury. |

Madding, Middlebury (Junior, Midfielder - Hillsborough, Calif.) Madding had both Panther goals in a hard-fought 2-2 draw at Tufts on Saturday. Down 1-0 midway through the second half, Madding tied the contest in the 66th minute with a goal off a corner kick. She struck again 11 minutes later to knot the contest at two-all. |

Eisenhart, Williams (Senior, Forward - Seattle, Wash.) Eisenhart tallied both game-winners for her squad during a 2-0-0 weekend. During Saturday’s NESCAC opener at Bates, Eisenhart netted her first goal of the season in the 10th minute in a 2-0 Williams win. She had the only goal in Sunday’s 1-0 victory at Wheaton. |
