Moore of Bowdoin Nominated by NESCAC for NCAA Woman of the Year Award
HADLEY, Mass. - Grace Moore (Groton, Mass.), a 2008 graduate of Bowdoin College and a former member of the Polar Bears’ women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse squads, has been nominated for the 2008 NCAA Woman of the Year Award by the NESCAC. The NCAA Woman of the Year Award honors senior student-athletes who have distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in the areas of academic achievement, athletics excellence, service and leadership. The award has been given annually since 1991.

Women's Lacrosse Weekly Release #10
HADLEY, Mass. - Four NESCAC teams saw their seasons come to an end in the 2008 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Tournament last week. Although Amherst, Colby and Middlebury were each winners in their first round contests on Wednesday, they all fell in regional play over the weekend. The remaining team from the NESCAC semifinals that qualified for the NCAA Tournament was Trinity, however the Bantams were unable to move past Babson during Wednesday’s first round, falling 19-10.

Amherst Succumbs to Franklin & Marshall in NCAA Women's Lacrosse Regionals
LANCASTER, Pa. - Defending NCAA Women's Lacrosse Champion Franklin & Marshall earned a 16-9 victory over Amherst in a regional final of the 2008 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament. The Diplomats move on to the national semifinals, while the Jeffs close their season at 15-4.

CLINTON, N.Y. - Jen McGowan scored two goals, including the eventual game-winner, as Hamilton College edged Middlebury, 9-7, in an NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament quarterfinal at Campus Road Athletic Field on May 11.

Amherst Upends Washington & Lee in NCAA Women's Lacrosse Regional
LANCASTER, Pa. – Amherst scored the first goal of the game, and lead nearly the entire game, en route to a 10-8 win Saturday afternoon on the campus of Franklin & Marshall in the Second Round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament. The Lord Jeffs will face Franklin & Marshall tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. in the National Quarterfinals.
