PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Williams women’s ice hockey team’s season came to an end Saturday as they fell to Manhattanville (27-3) by a score of 5-1.

Manhattanville jumped out to a huge lead, as they closed out the first period 3-0. The goals came from Alli Annunziato, Jessica Temesy, and Nicole Sahlem.

In the second, Jennifer Mulick and Cherie Stewart put the finishing touches on the Eph defense, each notching goals to give Manhattanville a 5-0 lead.

Williams tried to come back in the third, with First-year Melissa Vandermyn collecting a tally off an assist from classmate Rachel Barr.

But it was too little too late, as Manhattanville’s 50-shot attack got the best of the Ephs and standout goalie Monelle Quevillon.

The loss ends the season for Williams, and Manhattanville will now advance to the semifinals of the national tournament.
