Haley had an impressive showing for Amherst in its dual meet against MIT on Saturday. He started the meet with a win in the 1000 freestyle (9:48.90). Later in the meet, Haley tied for first in the 500 freestyle with a season-best time of 4:44.69.

Watt pulled off the usually tough double winning the 1000 freestyle in a season-best time of 10:43 and then winning the 200 freestyle with another season-best mark of 1:59.0. However, during this meet, the 1000 freestyle was combined so she did not have the benefit of the men’s heat in between to rest. At the end of the meet, she added a lifetime-best in the 200 individual medley and then held her own on a leg of the event-winning 400 freestyle relay.
