Trinity Wins 2010 Men's Squash Championship

HARTFORD, Conn. – Sophomore Vikram Malholtra (Mumbai, India) dominated the No. 4 match, allowing just nine total points scored against him, to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 9-0 win over the visiting Williams College Ephs in the finals of the 2010 NESCAC Men’s Squash Championship Sunday afternoon at Kellner Center.

Eleven-time defending National Champion Trinity improves to 18-0 and extends the longest winning streak in the history of intercollegiate varsity sports to 220 matches. The Bantams won, 8-1, over Hamilton and Bowdoin yesterday to reach the finals.

Williams falls to 12-7. Eight of the nine matches were won by 3-0 scores, although Williams freshman Jack Ervasti (Brooklyn, N.Y.) took Trinity junior Chris Binnie (Kingston, Jamaica) to five games in the No. 7 match. Bates edged Bowdoin, 5-4, in the third-place match.
