Player of the Week
Christy Tinker, Tufts
(First Year, 1B - Woodbridge, Conn.)
Tinker led the Jumbos offensively during the 2007 NESCAC Softball
Championship, hitting .667 (6-for-9) with a home run, six RBIs and
three runs scored. She went 2-for-3 in all three games over the
weekend, picking up a home run and three RBIs in Friday's 11-2
victory over Wesleyan.
Pitcher of the Week
Stefanie Tong, Tufts
(First Year, RHP - Burlingame, Calif.)
Tong earned a win and a save over the weekend, as the Jumbos
captured their fourth NESCAC Softball title. Appearing in all three
games for Tufts during the 2007 NESCAC Softball Championship, Tong
did not allow a run in 5.1 innings pitched, giving up just two
hits.

Player of the Week
Casey Sullivan, Tufts
(First Year, SS - Berlin, Conn.)
Sullivan hit .526 (10-for-19) with four home runs, 10 RBIs, eight
runs scored, two stolen bases, and a slugging percentage of 1.211
during a 5-1 week for the Jumbos. All four of her home runs were
hit in four different games.
Pitcher of the Week
Julia Jacobs, Bowdoin
(First Year, RHP - Ridgewood, N.J.)
Jacobs went 4-0 last week as part of a 6-1 effort for the Polar
Bears. The rookie tossed three complete games while allowing only
16 hits in 23 innings with 21 strikeouts. For the week, Jacobs
posted a 1.96 ERA and held opponents to a .193 batting average. At
12-6 this season, Jacobs has tied the single-season record at
Bowdoin for victories.

Player of the Week
Meaghan Dendy, Wesleyan
(First Year, RHP/OF - Swansea, Mass.)
Dendy hit .538 (7-for-13) during a 4-0 week for Wesleyan, scoring
five runs and collecting five RBIs. In the second game against
Bowdoin on Saturday, Dendy drove in the tying run in the bottom of
the 9th with a one-out triple, going on to score the winning run
later on in the inning for a 4-3 victory.
Pitcher of the Week
Alyssa Crowell, Colby
(Sophomore, RHP - Gilford, N.H.)
Crowell picked up a pair of wins over Bates last week while also
earning a save against Maine Maritime. On Thursday, Crowell pitched
a two-hitter with four strikeouts in a 5-1 win over the Bobcats,
followed by a four-hit shutout with five strikeouts and two walks.

Player of the Week
Beth Gostanian, Trinity
(Junior, OF - Windham, N.H.)
Gostanian went 7-for-9 with six runs and 11 RBIs in four Bantam
wins last week. Gostanian had three home runs, including two in a
9-0 win against Colby, and added three walks to earn an on-base
percentage of .769 over the four games.
Pitcher of the Week
Meaghan Dendy, Wesleyan
(First Year, RHP/OF - Swansea, Mass.)
Dendy tossed two complete-game victories last week for the
Cardinals, allowing eight hits and two earned runs while striking
out eight batters and giving up no walks. She also contributed
offensively during Wesleyan's four wins last week, going 9-for-16
(.563) from the leadoff spot while scoring six runs.

Player of the Week
Katelyn Knox, Williams
(Senior, C/OF - Great Falls, Va.)
Knox averaged .714 from the plate (5-for-7) as the Ephs went 2-0 on
Saturday against NESCAC East foe Tufts. During game two against the
Jumbos, Knox hit a two-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the
seventh inning, going 3-for-4 in the game with five RBIs, two runs
scored, a double and two home runs. She collected a total of seven
RBIs in the series sweep.
Pitcher of the Week
Sara Dougherty, Trinity
(Senior, LHP - Long Valley, N.J.)
Dougherty picked up a pair of wins during three total appearances
last week for the Bantams. On Tuesday, Dougherty tossed a
six-hitter, allowing three earned runs with five strikeouts in a
7-5 win over Eastern Conn. St. before making a relief appearance in
the second game of the doubleheader, surrendering four hits and two
runs while striking out three in 4.1 innings of work. She capped
the week with a five-hitter with four strikeouts and three earned
runs against Bates on Saturday.

Player of the Week
Jacqueline Tyler, Amherst
(First Year, OF - Ridgewood, N.J.)
Tyler went 7-for-11 (.636) in the leadoff spot during a three-game
sweep of Hamilton over the weekend. After going 3-for-4 on Friday,
Tyler helped the Jeffs rally in Saturday's first game with a double
to start the seventh inning before eventually scoring as the tying
run in a 7-6 win. Tyler scored four runs, knocked in two, had a
double and two triples for a 1.091 slugging percentage.
Pitcher of the Week
Erica Bailey, Tufts
(Junior, RHP - Scottsdale, Ariz.)
Bailey allowed three hits while striking out eight batters in a
complete-game victory over Bates on Friday, 8-1. Bailey struck out
the side in the second and retired 11 in a row at one point. The
Bobcats only had one runner reach second base in the second through
seventh innings.

Player of the Week
Stacy Hills, Trinity
(Senior, SS - Menlo Park, Calif.)
Hills batted .625 over a nine-game stretch, going 20-for-32 with
eight runs and four stolen bases to lead the Bantams to an 8-1
record during its spring break trip. Hills also played every inning
at shortstop, committing a single error.
Pitcher of the Week
Karen Reni, Bowdoin
(Sophomore, RHP - Ashland, Mass.)
Reni went 4-1 last week as the Polar Bears recorded their best
start in program history. Reni tossed five complete games and
compiled an ERA of 1.03. She allowed 17 hits, four earned runs and
struck out 35 batters in 35 innings.

Stacia Saniuk, Bates
(Sophomore, C/INF - Sharon, Mass.)
Saniuk went 8-for-20 (.400) at the plate with seven RBIs, three
runs scored, two doubles and one home run for a slugging percent of
.650 for the Bobcats last week at the Gene Cusic Classic in Ft.
Myers, Fla. During Bates' 7-6 win over Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday,
Saniuk hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning, then doubled
to drive in the winning runs in the sixth.
