MOBILE, Ala. – Williams' Richard Meyer and Bryan Chow won the ITA National Small College Doubles Championship on Saturday, Oct. 15.

Meyer and Chow beat California Lutheran's Nicholas Ballou and Ray Worley. The team earned points early on in the first set, but Ballou and Worley came back to claim the first set 6-7 (2). Chow and Meyer stayed steady, winning the second set 6-4. The play went back and forth in the tie-breaking set, but Williams scored a break late in the set to claim the title with a 6-3 score.

During the semifinals, Meyer and Chow downed Rumyantsev/Kjellberg of North Carolina Wesleyan, winning 7-5, 2-6, 10-7.

Head Coach Dan Greenberg said "I'm thrilled for our guys. In all three matches, they faced tough deficits against very good teams, and somehow found a way to fight back. They didn't give up and were able to play their best tennis in the most crucial moments late in the matches. They've worked extremely hard and definitely earned this great accomplishment."

The two played in the Super Bowl against the winners of each Division participating in the tournament, including Division II, Division III, NAIA, and Junior College, and finished as the runner-up.
