Dana Leary, Williams
(Sophomore, Defender - Washington, D.C.)
Leary scored the only goal in Williams 1-0 defeat of Middlebury in
the NESCAC championship game. Leary also anchored an Ephs defensive
effort in shutout wins in the semifinal and final.

David LaRocca, Middlebury
(Freshman, Forward - Sparta, N.J.)
LaRocca had remarkable week for Middlebury as the Panthers advanced
to the NESCAC semifinals for the fifth consecutive year. Saturday,
the rookie scored the game's first three goals for a hat-trick as
Middlebury ended its regular season with a 4-0 win over Trinity. In
the NESCAC Tournament win over Tufts, LaRocca led the charge as
Middlebury came from 3-0 down in the final 15 minutes to defeat
Tufts, 4-3 in overtime. LaRocca scored the first two goals in a
1:51 span, before assisting on the game-tying and game-winning
goals.

John Rusten, Middlebury
(Senior, Forward - Federal Way, Wash.)
John Rusten scored three goals last week, two of them game-winners,
to lead Middlebury to a pair of wins. The senior scored a solo goal
in a 2-0 win over St. Michael's, before scoring twice in the
Panther's 3-2 win over Bates. He now leads the team with eight
goals and 18 points on the season.

Scott Johnson, Trinity
(Freshman, Goalkeeper - Plymouth, Mass.)
Scott Johnson recorded shutouts in each of Trinity's wins this
week, 1-0 at Eastern Connecticut, and 2-0 against Tufts. The rookie
keeper stopped six shots against the Jumbos, Trinity's first win
against Tufts since 1999, to pull the Bantams into a seventh-place
tie in the conference standings. Trinity has posted three shutout
wins in a row after a 0-6-2 start, and has not allowed a goal in
their last 271 minutes.

Ben Castellot, Tufts
(Sophomore, Forward - Newton, Mass.)
Sophomore forward Ben Castellot scored twice, including the golden
goal in overtime, as Tufts upset Bowdoin, 3-2, in Brunswick. The
sophomore’s first goal gave the Jumbos a 2-1 lead early in
the second half.

Joe Gannon, Amherst
(Junior, Forward - Hanson, Mass.)
Junior forward Joe Gannon scored the game's lone goal in the 67th
minute as undefeated Amherst improved to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in
conference play with a narrow 1-0 win at 12th-ranked NESCAC rival
Bowdoin College on Saturday. Gannon also assisted on both goals in
Wednesday's 2-1 win over Springfield.

Terence O’Connell, Bates
(Junior, Forward - Greenwich, Conn.)
Terence O'Connell scored three goals and added a pair of assists to
total eight points in a 2-0 week for Bates. The junior forward
scored a goal and assisted on two others in a 7-1 win over NESCAC
rival Connecticut College. O’Connell added two goals in the
second half of a 3-1 win over St. Joseph's on Wednesday including
the game winner.

Tom Bresnehan, Bowdoin
(Senior, Forward - Sherborn, Mass.)
Tom Bresnehan scored his second game-winner of the season in a 2-1
win at Colby on Saturday. With two wins last week, the Polar Bears
rose to the top of the New England rankings thanks to a 3-0 start
to the season.

Brett Olsen, Williams
(Sophomore, Forward - Norwell, Mass.)
Olsen scored all three Williams goals in a 3-0 defeat of conference
and Little Three rival Wesleyan. The sophomore found the back of
the net twice in the first 12 minutes before scoring midway through
the second half to reach the final margin.
