Josef Powell, Williams
(Senior, Midfielder - Spanishtown, Jamaica)
Powell scored two goals, including the game-winner, to lead
Williams to a 5-1 NESCAC championship win over Middlebury.
October 29, 2001
Brad Stitchberry, Tufts
(Senior, Midfielder - Bryn Mawr, Pa.)
Stitchberry scored two goals in the first round of the NESCAC
tournament, giving Tufts a 1-0 lead and later tying the game 2-2.
He also scored on the fourth penalty kick in a 6-5 penalty kick win
that moved Tufts into the semifinals.
David Bulow,
Bowdoin
(Senior, Forward - Denver, Colo.)
Bulow scored the game-winner in overtime in a 3-2 NESCAC first
round win over Amherst, tying the school record with 32 career
goals. He scored both goals in a 2-0 win at Bates to break the
school single-season scoring record.

Brian Luoma, Bates
(Junior, Forward - Virginia Beach, Va.)
Luoma scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Maine-Farmington.
He assisted on the tying goal and scored a late goal in a 4-1 win
over Connecticut College.

Matt MacGregor, Tufts
(Junior, Midfielder - Little Compton, R.I.)
MacGregor scored both goals in a 2-1 overtime win over Wesleyan.
He scored the game-winner seven minutes into the extra session.

Alex Blake, Williams
(Junior, Forward - Kingston, Jamaica)
Blake scored seven goals and added two assists in three Williams
wins. He is now the school's all-time leading scorer with 48 career
goals, breaking the previous mark of 46 by Brad Murray. Blake
scored three goals in a 4-0 win over Bates and broke the record
with two goals in a 3-0 win over Colby.

Alex Blake, Williams
(Junior, Forward - Kingston, Jamaica)
Blake scored two goals and assisted on another goal in a 4-0
Williams win over Trinity as the Ephs remained undefeated in six
games. He scored one goal and added one assist in a 4-3 victory
over Keene State earlier in the week. Blake leads the conference
with 10 goals and 27 points.

David Bulow, Bowdoin
(Senior, Forward - Denver, Colo.) Bulow scored both goals in a 2-1
Bowdoin win over defending NESCAC champion Middlebury. He also
scored two goals in a 7-0 win over the University of New England.
September 17, 2001
Matt Chiavaroli, Wesleyan
(Junior, Defender - Darien, Conn.)
Chiavaroli had in a hand in three of four Wesleyan goals in two
victories. He scored the go-ahead goal in the second half and
assisted on the game-winner in overtime in a 3-2 win over
Springfield. He assisted on the only goal of the game in a win over
Colby and led the defense that limited the White Mules to seven
shots.

7-0 win over Westfield State.

Bulow scored three goals and added one assist in two Bowdoin
victories. He scored one goal in a 3-2 win at Trinity on Saturday
and scored two goals, including the game-winner in a 3-1 victory
over Babson on Sunday.
