2003 Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week

Brian McGregor, Middlebury
(Senior, Midfielder - Owing Mills, Md.)
Middlebury's face-off man was stellar this weekend as he won 38 of
55 (.691) face-offs in two NESCAC Tournament wins. McGregor has won
over 66% of his face-offs this season as he has helped lead
Middlebury to its seventh NCAA Tournament appearance.
April 28, 2003
Bryan Griffin, Tufts
(Sophomore, Attack - West Islip, N.Y.)
Griffin had 10 goals and 8 assists for 18 points in four games this
week including three critical conference victories. The sophomore
had two goals and three assists in the 14-13 NESCAC Playoff win
over Bowdoin on Sunday, including the game winner while falling to
his knees with 40 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Griffin had
two goals and the game-winning assist in a 7-6 victory at Williams
on Monday that put Tufts in position for home field advantage in
the NESCAC Tournament First Round and tallied three goals and two
assists in an 11-7 win over Wesleyan on Wednesday that locked up a
home field berth. He added three goals and two assists in the
week’s only loss at Connecticut College on Saturday.

Mike Allison, Amherst
(Junior, Attack - W. Nyack, N.Y.)
Junior attackman Mike Allison was the key cog in Amherst's 2-0
week, tallying four goals in a 15-13 win over Tufts and three goals
and an assist in a dramatic 11-10 overtime win over Bowdoin.
April 14, 2003
Glen Adams, Wesleyan
(Freshman, Midfielder - Norwalk, Conn.)
Adams netted three goals, including the game-tying goal with 3:27
left in regulation and the game-winner in overtime, along with one
assist in an 11-10 victory over nationally ranked Amherst. It was
Wesleyan's second straight OT win over a NESCAC rival.
Kyle Courtiss,
Bowdoin
(Senior, Attack - Duxbury, Mass.)
Courtiss collected seven goals in Bowdoin's victory over New
England College, one shy of the school record for a single game.
The senior then scored five goals in a key NESCAC win over
Williams, 16-15, on Sunday. He finished the week with 13 goals in
three games.
April 7, 2003
James Skiff , Trinity
(Junior, Attack - Portland, Maine)
Skiff scored three goals in a 9-8 win over Eastern Connecticut,
scoring the game-tying goal to force overtime with 55 seconds left
and the game-winner in overtime. The win snapped a four-game losing
streak for the Bantams. Against Colby, Skiff tied the Trinity
record for points in a game with 11, scoring a career-high eight
goals and assisting on three others in an 18-13 league victory.
March 31, 2003
Kevin Burke, Connecticut College
(Senior, Attack - Beverly, Mass.)
Connecticut College senior attacker Kevin Burke leads the club with
14 goals, 11 assists and 25 points through five games. Burke netted
six goals and added five assists in the season opening win against
Drew.
Luke Chicco,
Tufts
(Sophomore, Goalkeeper - Merrick, N.Y.)
Chicco posted a 2-0 record with a 4.67 goals against average and
79.4 save percentage during the week. He had 20 saves, including 15
in the second half, as Tufts pulled away from a 2-2 halftime tie
with Trinity to win 8-5 in their NESCAC opener on Saturday.
