HADLEY, Mass. Middlebury senior forward Charlie Townsend (Pennington, N.J.) has been selected as the NESCAC Player of the Week for March 8, 2010. Townsend broke a 2-2 tie on Sunday during the final of the 2010 NESCAC Mens Ice Hockey Championship by scoring the game-winner with just 1:42 remaining to lift the Panthers to a 3-2 victory over Bowdoin. He also assisted on the games first goal during Saturdays 4-2 win against Trinity.

Late Goal Gives Middlebury NESCAC Men's Ice Hockey Championship
BRUNSWICK, Maine Middlebury senior captain Charlie Townsend scored the game-winning goal with 1:42 remaining in the third period to give the Panthers their eighth NESCAC Mens Ice Hockey Championship, 3-2, over Bowdoin on Sunday at Sidney J. Watson Arena. With their fourth win over the Polar Bears in the title game, the Panthers (19-4-4) earn the leagues automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Five-Goal Third Propels Bowdoin Past Hamilton, 6-2, in Men's Ice Hockey Semifinals
BRUNSWICK, Maine The Bowdoin College mens ice hockey team scored five times in the third period to pull away from Hamilton, 6-2, in a NESCAC semifinal game played at Sidney J. Watson Arena on Saturday. The Polar Bears (19-5-1) advance to their fourth NESCAC title game and first since 2007 where they will face the winner of the Middlebury/Trinity semifinal on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. The Continentals finish their year with a mark of 15-9-2.

Middlebury Doubles Up Trinity, 4-2, in Men's Ice Hockey Semifinals
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Middlebury College men's ice hockey team took command with a three-goal second-period en route to a 4-2 win over Trinity in the NESCAC semifinals at Bowdoin's Sidney J. Watson Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers (18-4-4) advance to their 11th conference championship tilt tomorrow and will look for their eighth NESCAC crown when they face top-seeded Bowdoin College at 2:00 p.m. Trinity ends its season with a record of 15-9-2.

Follow Men's Ice Hockey Championships Live from Bowdoin
HADLEY, Mass. The semifinals of the 2010 NESCAC Men's Ice Hockey Championship at Sidney J. Watson Arena may be sold out, but that doesn't mean fans can't follow their favorite team on Saturday or throughout the weekend. Host Bowdoin College will be providing both a webcast and live statistics via the Internet for all three games.
