Baseball Championship to Resume Sunday at 9:00 a.m. at Tufts

MEDFORD, Mass. – After a day filled with rain delays and weather watching, day two of the 2010 NESCAC Baseball Championship eventually was suspended due to washed out field conditions.

The tournament will resume on Sunday, May 9 at Huskins Field at Tufts, with the Williams-Tufts game resumed first at 9:00 a.m. Following the completion of that game, the Bowdoin-Wesleyan game will be resumed.

Projected start times for games five and six are 1:00 and 4:00 p.m., respectively. Game seven will not be played.

At the time of suspension, Tufts was leading Williams 8-2 in the bottom of the 5th inning. There were two outs with a runner on second base and the count 1-1.

Bowdoin was leading Wesleyan 7-2 when the game was suspended in the middle of the 4th inning.

All four teams head into Sunday with a shot at winning the championship still.
