Baseball Championship Schedule Altered Due To Inclement Weather

Day One Games to be Played Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

HADLEY, Mass. - Due to inclement weather in and around Hartford, Conn., day one of the 2008 NESCAC Baseball Championship has been postponed and the tournament schedule has been adjusted. Game one featuring Amherst at Trinity will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, while game two, the Tufts-Williams contest at Wesleyan, will begin at 10:00 a.m.

The winners of game one and game two will meet in game four at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity, while the losers of games one and two will face off in game three at 2:00 p.m. at Wesleyan. Game five, originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon, will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 11 at Trinity featuring the winner of game three taking on the loser of game four.

Game six, which pits the winner of game four against the winner of game five, will occur at 12:00 p.m. at Trinity and, if necessary, game seven will immediately follow. The winner of the 2008 NESCAC Baseball Championship will receive an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament, which begins Wednesday, May 14.

Day 3 - Sunday, May 11 at Trinity
Game 5 - Winner of GM 3 vs. Loser of GM 4 - 9:00 a.m. - at Trinity, Hartford, Conn.
Game 6 - Winner of GM 4 vs. Winner of GM 5 - 12:00 p.m.
Game 7 - If Necessary - Immediately Following
