The NESCAC recognizes athletic excellence through its
All-Conference program. Each of the conference's 26 sports honor
select student-athletes with All-NESCAC at the end of the season.
Student-athletes that earn All-NESCAC recognition receive a
certificate outlining their accomplishment. Certificates are
processed and distributed by each institution.
In cross country, golf, swimming and diving, and track and field, All-NESCAC teams are based upon individual performances at the conference championship. In all other sports, the conference coaches determine via a voting process the composition of the All-NESCAC teams.
For swimming and diving and track and field, one All-Conference team is named with the top three finishers in each event receiving recognition. All other sports have two All-NESCAC teams, a First Team and a Second Team, and no honorable mentions are named. With the exception of rowing, each sport names a Player of the Year or Most Outstanding Performer of the Year along with a Rookie of the Year. Every sport recognizes a Coach of the Year.
Student-athletes must be in good academic standing and a member of the team in their respective sport at the conclusion of the season in order to be eligible for such selection.
