Tufts Wins First Baseball Championship Since 2002 with 6-1 Victory Over Bowdoin
MEDFORD, Mass. – Tufts University captured its second NESCAC baseball crown on Sunday by defeating Bowdoin College by a score of 6-1 at Huskins Field. The Jumbos earned the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. Tufts could not push across any runs until the sixth inning of play, when the home team took advantage of three errors by the Bowdoin defense. Tufts scored four runs in the sixth, two of them earned, including RBI singles by junior RF Chase Rose (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and senior catcher Alex Perry (Danvers, Mass.).

Tufts Overcomes Middlebury for 2010 Men's Lacrosse Title
MEDFORD, Mass. – The Tufts University men's lacrosse team won its first NESCAC championship on Sunday after scoring six unanswered goals, including two each by juniors D.J. Hessler (Monkton, Md.) and Matt Witko (Chappaqua, N.Y.), to battle back from a four-goal deficit and defeat Middlebury College at 13-12 at Bello Field. The Jumbos, who improved to 16-1, earn the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.

Middlebury Takes Men's Tennis Championship Over Williams, 5-0
AMHERST, Mass. – The top-seeded Middlebury College men’s tennis team won its second straight NESCAC Championship, and sixth in the last seven years, with a 6-0 win over No. 3 seed Williams College this afternoon. The Panthers won four straight titles from 2004-07, before winning back-to-back championships in 2009 and again in 2010.

Williams Men and Women Repeat as Rowing Champs
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Williams College Men's and Women's Rowing squads repeated as NESCAC champions on Sunday during the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) National Invitational Rowing Championship, held at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. The Ephs won Sunday's varsity eight race for both the men and the women, while Trinity was second in both races.

Wesleyan Takes Game 7 for 2010 Softball Championship
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Taylor Zavadsky smacked a grand slam home run Sunday in an eight-run third inning for the Cardsinals, leading Wesleyan to a 10-1 win over Bowdoin in the championship game of the 2010 NESCAC Softball Championship. It's the first NESCAC title for the Cardinals, who improved to 23-16-1 with the win. They receive an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. Bowdoin finished its season with a 33-12 record.
